В провинциальном городе, в пору становления рыночной экономики, жили три подруги, а у одной из них — Евгении — был сын Валериан. Однажды в городок прибыл на гастроли цирк, в котором работал красавец силач Валериан Чернышов, первая любовь Евгении и предполагаемый отец её ребенка.
Подруги решают, что Евгении стоит снова завязать отношения с Валерианом, и они разрабатывают хитрый план, как им завлечь заезжего красавца в любовные сети. Подкупив циркового агента, занимающегося расселением артистов, они подселяют Чернышова к Евгении.
